Bird flu outbreak on Australian free-range egg farm

A free-range egg farm near Lethbridge has tested positive for H7N7 avian influenza virus.
The farm is within the existing restricted area where a case of bird flu was confirmed on July 31.
All birds on the affected property are now being destroyed and movement of birds in and out of the quarantine area is restricted.
Supply of eggs and freshness of eggs may be uncertain and could affect the supply chain.
