What do the eggs in Chinese New Year meals mean?

Eggs, in general, is a symbol of fertility, birth and a new beginning to many cultures. But to the Chinese, they symbolise much more especially during this festive season.
Eggs, being round in shape, means all-round success. It also signifies wholeness and togetherness of the family.
He bao dan (or fried egg in Mandarin) is special during Chinese New Year as it is symbolic of silver covering gold, promising blessings of gold and silver!
Egg rolls (蛋皮春卷, dàn pí chūn juǎn) represent gold bars which is an auspicious item to the Chinese for wealth.
Chinese Tea Leaf Eggs (or Cha Ye Dan in Chinese) symbolize golden nuggets which means wealth and prosperity.
